So in honor of it being Friday and the end of a long and confusing work week and an exceptionally drab Thursday outfit, I decided I wanted to dress pretty and summery.  I had the perfect dress from Banana picked out that would go perfectly with my green piggies and sunless tanner streaked legs.  As I excitedly put on the dress I discover one small problem with my perfect dress….the zipper is on the back and I can only get it oh about halfway zipped. So, I did funny dances, grabbed tongs from the kitchen and nadda.  What to do?!  Now let me remind you that I cannot be persuaded other wise I really want to wear my dress.  After a 15 minute struggle I came to a solution.  What can a girl do when in a pinch—Accessorize.  So I made it to work with my perfect dress half zipped covered by my hair and a purple cardigan. Don’t worry I knew that my bestie/co-worker would have no problem zipping me up once she got to work.

                              Dress: Banana Republic Outlet
                                Headband: Ann Taylor Loft
                           The always necessary Boob Tube
And a special guest appearance by my cat Winston

The look to cover the unzipped back of the dress :)
                                     Cardigan: New York & Co
                                         Belt: Ann Taylor
And yes sadly those are my legs with sunless tanner !!

Banana Republic Wedges-My current favorite shoes
They are super cute and super comfy

Now my only concern is remembering to have her slightly unzip me so I am not stuck in my dress forever!! Uh Oh I do believe I have to add this to my list of disadvantages of living alone….

So for all the single ladies, ladies that live alone, ladies that husbands leave for work before them, ladies that husbands are sleeping when they get ready……….Side Zippers Please!!!

Update and Side Note:  I DID forget to have my friend unzip me a little bit before we left work.  Luckily I wasn't stuck in the dress forever-it just took 10 minutes, some jumping around and a slightly sore left arm to get out of it.  Phew!!

When I started reading this my first thought was crap! I forgot to unzip her lol. Glad to see you were able to make it out of the dress with only minimal damage. Love the pics and you accessorized this so well. Love it!!!
